WHAT IS THE ILLUMINAUGHTY BURLESQUE?

The Illuminaughty Burlesque is a queer-centric, body-positive, drag-burlesque-comedy-performance collective. We aim to bring queer joy and artistry to audiences, where profits from ticket sales are donated directly to a charitable cause.

Our motto is Secretum, Securum, Spectatum – which means Secret, Safe, Spectacular. This speaks to our mission of creating a unique and exciting performance environment where audiences and performers alike can feel safe and ready to have an absolutely fabulous time.

If you’ve never performed before (but let’s face it, you’ve always wanted to), this is your opportunity to give it a try!

Not a performer? No worries! We are always looking for talented and passionate people to help us with the brass tacks like acquiring performance space, collecting donations, helping with costumes and props, and more.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

We work on a volunteer-only basis. Unfortunately we aren’t yet in a position to offer fees or stipends (though we’d love to someday!) If that doesn’t work for you, we understand.

All our performers collect and equally split tips from each performance. All additional profit from cover charges or ticket sales will go to the chosen cause!
